About

Join us for an amazing after school dance option that your children will love - the perfect class for boys and girls of many ages and abilities. Over the weeks the children will learn steps to The Little Mermaid’s well-known song ‘Under the Sea’. This is a ‘no lead’ production and there are fun costumes and equal roles for everyone!

Teachers

Learn from two professional artists:

Kike Yamagawa

The completely fantastic Kike joins us again at Kspace after running successful performances of CATS and The Lion King. Kike is a performer and teacher of many styles of dance, a choreographer, set/costume designer and make-up artiste.

Adam Bowden

As well as being a teacher in our international school, Adam has extensive knowledge of stage make-up, stage design, window dressing, tailoring and professional costume design. He trained at Adelaide Institute of TAFE, Performing Arts and has worked on big stage productions of Phantom of the Opera, Lion King and Mamma Mia.

Content

Included in the course are:

• Dance movements and steps
• Use of facial expressions and poses
• 6 weeks learning a choreographed piece
• 1 week workshop with costume design, sets and make-up
• All materials and costumes for mini-show included for a small fee and made by our costume designers (and children)
• Final performance for parents
• Group and performance photo shoots
• Mini-Video with link for parents of final performance

1 class @ ¥3,000
Costume Fee @ ¥3,000 (This must be paid at first lesson and cannot be reimbursed if your child does not attend full course or show) Please enquire for full course fee!

Note: This course can be enjoyed as part of our Wednesday After-School programme with other classes, including our Butterfly and Bugs Specials and Elementary Class.
Care is available until 7.00pm. Please ask for more details.

Enrollment Date

Children can join at any time. Only children who have attended long enough to know the steps can appear in the final performance.

Our teachers strongly advise that students attend regularly so that they can build up their knowledge for the performance gradually. Limited to 12 dancers in each time slot!
