Course Description
Join us for kitchen-themed fun and learning!
Kitchen Play & Clay offers a rich sensory experience where children explore early math, language, and the world around them through imaginative kitchen role-play and creative clay activities.
What We Do?
Each week, children dive into a new storybook adventure paired with:
- Kitchen Role-Play
- Creative Clay Modeling
- Playful Language Learning
Your Child Will:
- Learn themed vocabulary with real objects & visuals
- Practice a “Super Sentence” each week to build language confidence
- Develop early numeracy skills through counting, sorting, and patterning
- Explore textures, shapes, and tools in our clay and kitchen corners
- Sing, move, and make friends in a safe, supportive space

WHAT’S COMING UP?
Week 1: Welcome to the Kitchen!
Storybook: Maisy Makes Gingerbread
Vocabulary: spoon, bowl, mix, kitchen, cook
Super Sentence: “I can mix with a spoon.”
Numeracy: Count spoons (1, 2, 3…), match tools by size
Clay Activity: Use rolling pins, cutters, texture tools
Play Corner: Pretend cooking with kitchen tools
Week 2: Pizza Party!
Storybook: Pete’s a Pizza
Vocabulary: pizza, dough, cheese, tomato, slice
Super Sentence: “My pizza has cheese and tomato.”
Numeracy: Count toppings, slice pizza into halves/quarters
Clay Activity: Make dough, add pretend toppings
Play Corner: Create a pizza station
Week 3: Cookie Bakery
Storybook: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
Vocabulary: cookie, round, sweet, bake, tray
Super Sentence: “I made a round cookie.”
Numeracy: Shape sorting (circle, star, heart), count cookies
Clay Activity: Use cutters, decorate with pretend sprinkles
Play Corner: Cookie shop with trays and tongs
Week 4: Fruit & Veggie Fun
Storybook: Eating the Alphabet
Vocabulary: apple, banana, carrot, green, red
Super Sentence: “I like red apples.”
Numeracy: Sort by color, count fruit sets
Clay Activity: Mold fruits and veggies, match real & clay
Play Corner: Farmer's market with baskets & pretend money
Week 5: Tea Party Time
Storybook: Tea Rex
Vocabulary: tea, cup, pour, friend, snack
Super Sentence: “I pour tea for my friend.”
Numeracy: Match cup + saucer sets, count friends at the table
Clay Activity: Create teacups, biscuits, mini cakes
Play Corner: Dress-up and tea party station
Week 6: Sandwich Shop
Storybook: Sam’s Sandwich
Vocabulary: sandwich, bread, lettuce, cheese, tomato
Super Sentence: “My sandwich has bread and cheese.”
Numeracy: Sequence ingredients (first, next, last), cut shapes
Clay Activity: Layered sandwich making

Week 7: Ice Cream Creations

Vocabulary: ice cream, cold, cone, scoop, flavor
Super Sentence: “I have two scoops of ice cream.”
Numeracy: Count scoops, sort cones by size or flavor
Clay Activity: Make cones, scoops, and sprinkles
Play Corner: Ice cream stand with pretend play
Week 8: Kitchen Showcase & Celebration!

Vocabulary: food, make, eat, share, favorite
Super Sentence: “I can make food and share.”
Numeracy: Review counting & sorting (fruits, snacks, meals)
Clay Activity: Recreate favorite foods or free play
