Treasure Hunters
Ages 4 to 7 years
Led by our beloved 'edutaining' Kspace teachers, this course is designed to get the children out and about in nature and on our school roof, developing an eye for discovery and exploration.
Our little Treasure Hunters enjoying dressing up as professional explorers; complete with safari hats, multiple pocket vests (to keep all ‘treasures’), binoculars, notebooks and specimen jars!
Classes take place both outdoors and in the classroom, where we discuss ways to find things, what we want to find and what purpose our treasures have.
Over the course we learn about maps reading, how to use a compass, treasures from gold and precious stones to stones in the garden and the gifts of mother nature, how to dig and forage carefully, how to take care of and record ‘treasures’ and even some archeology!
With the warmer weather on its way, this class offers so many wonderful opportunities for our explorers to have a great time in the afternoons and learn at the same time!
NOTE: All after-school students must please wear a Kspace T-shirt. In summer, please also send in a drinking bottle of water, sun screen, and ensure that your child has non-toxic mosquito repellent all labelled in their bag.
