Emergency Care Training covers 8 compulsory skills with extra focus on CPR: Chest Compressions Combined with Rescue Breathing. The training also covers all 4 skills in the First Aid course. This course is geared towards focus on paediatric emergency care.

Overview

Kspace International School runs courses aimed at teaching a range of emergency care skills.

The courses are held on the Kspace premises, and delivered by a highly qualified and skilled trainer. We provide an easily accessible, non-stressful and friendly, non-judgmental environment. Learning is made easy by breaking down each course element, use of simple terms, plenty of hands-on practice, discussion, and a range of handouts to take away. Participants practice and apply emergency care skills. The location is equipped with all the necessary training materials to help participants retain information.

The courses are based on internationally recognised medical guidelines for emergency care. They follow the emergency considerations and protocols as developed by the members of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and used by medical professionals.

These courses are designed for everyone, but are especially helpful to expectant mothers/fathers, parents of children of all ages, educators/teachers, nannies/helpers and care givers.

• Language: The language of instruction is English and handouts are provided in English only.

• Parents: Due to the focus needed during the course, we request that parents/carers attend without their children please.

Your Instructor – Howard Harris

Howard has 20 years of military experience where he acquired a wealth of knowledge in First Aid. In December 2012 he successfully undertook the Emergency First Response Instructor Course and was subsequently certified as an Emergency First Response Instructor in Japan. Howard has since instructed over 30 personnel to the successful completion of the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. One of Howard’s alternative courses is the reduced “Emergency Care Training”. This is not a certified course but provides enough information for participants to offer effective care. Soon after this course was conducted one participant was a carer of 2 children and last weekend she saved one of the child's life with skills she learned from the course. In her very own words she told me "If I had not attended Howard's course my son would be dead".

Other than our Emergency Care Training Course, tailored reduced/compact training is also available to suit participant(s) budget and timeline constraints.
